Timber Fake Sash Windows are a good choice for those who need windows that operate like casements but want to keep the look of a sash window.

Our Fake Sash timber windows have the appearance of Sash Windows but operate in an entirely different way. Instead of the sashes sliding up and down, they operate like a ‘Tilt & Turn’ Casement Window and open inwards. Fake Sash windows have a dual hinge system. It allows the casement to open into the room from the side or from the top to provide access for easy cleaning from the inside of the property. The ‘Tilt’ facility allows ventilation in a safe manner without having the sash fully opened. This is the most popular and widely used window system in Central Europe.

WINDOW STYLES

We make all windows to your specifications, meaning that we can work to any layout you require. This includes (but is not limited to) these sash window styles:

CONSTRUCTION

TIMBER

Our windows are manufactured from engineered timber for greater strength and stability and have passed the test of time; they are easy to renew, paint or varnish.

We supply a variety of woods:

PINE (Softwood),
MERANTI (Hardwood)
OAK (Hardwood).

All of our wood suppliers have an FSI certificate, ensuring a sustainable source of wood.

GLAZING BAR OPTIONS

Our beads are available as OGEE and LAMB. All sashes in the traditional range are beaded internally to improve security and weather performance and give the window a longer life.

Glazing Bars are matched with the outside sash profile and internal glazing bead. As standard, they come with an internal spacer.

HORN IMITATION

The top sash can be specified with traditional sash horns. The following styles are available as standard and allow most designs to be closely matched.

GLAZING OPTIONS

We can offer you single-glazed, double-glazed and triple-glazed windows. We have a wide range of choices to suit any particular requirements you may have, including:

* Toughened Safety Glass:

A toughening process increases strength and safety.

* Laminated Security Glass:

Laminate provides additional security over a toughened unit.

* Pattern Glass:

Available in a wide range of patterns, with samples shown to the left.

We can install all available glazing systems, so please enquire if you have any special requirements.

IRONMONGERY

The level of security will depend on the range of ironmongery you choose (locks, sash stops etc.). We use only the highest quality hardware by Caldwell and Mighton that offer locks, handles, springs and more.

By offering you a wide variety of colours of each fitting, we can ensure that you receive a final product that fits your exact needs.

HANDLES

To ensure the highest level of security, as standard, we use Espagnolette handles. Our Espagnolette handles are available in Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome and White finishes. They are all designed with stylish appearance in mind yet remain robust.

FAKE SASH LOCKING SYSTEM

We use GU hardware fitted to our customer’s needs. All components of the central locking system are precisely coordinated and have been developed with the aim of simplifying manufacturing, installation and operation.

FINISH

The finish of your windows can harmonise with the design of the room. There are three coat options available – oil, paint, and clear- revealing the texture of the wood.

We use Teknos paints which are exceptionally durable – they do not change colour under weather conditions. Our range of paint colours is based on the RAL palette enabling us to offer almost a limitless choice of finishes. Furthermore, we can offer dual colour painting.
