What Are Fake Sash Windows?
Our Fake Sash timber windows are actually casement windows designed to replicate the traditional appearance of Sash Windows. Instead of the sashes sliding up and down, they operate like a ‘Tilt & Turn’ Casement Window and open inwards or like Traditional Casement Windows and open outwards. Fake Sash windows have a dual-hinge system. Depending on the profile you choose, they can open outside or into the room to provide access for easy cleaning from the inside of the property. Inward-opening windows have the option to tilt inside. The ‘Tilt’ facility allows ventilation in a safe manner without having the sash fully opened. This is the most popular and widely used window system in Central Europe.
